But many also come from Illinois communities east of the Mississippi River, as well as from the rural Missouri and Illinois counties surrounding the metropolitan area. Clients served are mostly adults (of all ages), but also include school-aged children and adolescents.

Location:
Centrally located in Downtown Clayton, the office is in a handicapped-accessible building with visitor parking available. The Clayton Metro Link stop is a half block away.

Appointments: Daytime appointments -- beginning in the early morning -- are available from Monday through Saturday, and evening appointments Monday through Friday.
To schedule an appointment, call (314) 863-8734 and a therapist will call you back, usually within 1-3 hours. Or send an email through the "

Marriage & Family Institute is often asked whether we work with individuals. Yes! In fact, the majority of our clients are seen individually. But even when seeing clients individually, we believe they are deeply affected by their families, both the family in which they grew up and the family with whom they now share their lives. Therefore we incorporate this family influence into individual work.

"Family" can mean many different things, especially in modern society. We are willing to work with whomever a client designates as family, whether that is a traditional intact family of married mother, father and children, or whether it is a group of individuals connected by law, blood, or remarriage, or whether it is simply a group of individuals committed to each other who consider themselves a "family.
